Hero and Awakener, 2020
Poems written in the tradition of concrete and conceptual poetry have become a part of Reed's photographic practice. They are often presented in conjunction with photographs, usually as diptychs or triptychs.
These poems were written by adopting and rewriting phrases from the obituaries of those who died of Covid-19. Some were famous individuals, others little-known.
